The Alice Springs Town Centre Regeneration is a transformative urban design initiative aimed at revitalising the heart of Alice Springs through a people-focused and place-responsive approach. Grounded in key urban design principles—safety, visual harmony, activation, diversity, and inclusion - the project reimagines streets and public spaces to foster a more vibrant and welcoming town centre. A strong sense of place is embedded through the use of durable local materials, culturally rich storytelling elements within a new cultural trail, integrated public art, and a colour palette inspired by the surrounding desert landscape. The success of the design lies in the seamless collaboration between urban design, landscape architecture, architecture, and engineering teams, all expertly coordinated through Bennett Architecture’s comprehensive project management.
