Project Story
Bennett Architecture led the master planning for a 3500 lots satellite city at Curlew Point near Adelaide. Our urban planning applied strong principles to create an economically viable, multi-use, energy efficient, liveable, community with diverse housing options and strategically placed commercial zones to supply jobs and services. The framework for the satellite city included anchor firms in Space & Defence, Health & Medical Innovation, Advanced Manufacturing (especially related to space/tech), Agri Food Tech & Wine, and Creative/Digital Industries, all supported by smart infrastructure and research links to Adelaide's universities (like Lot Fourteen) to create jobs, drive innovation, and offer sustainable growth aligned with future population needs.
Understanding the growing trends towards wellbeing, the masterplan included connected wilderness and parklands to begin healing the local ecosystems, managing healthy waterways for fauna and fauna, promoting community inclusion in the process and connecting communities by neighboured, precinct and town to form diverse and connected community.
