Project Story
Bennett Architecture worked with HDR and Aurecon on the Stage 6 base upgrades at Tindal RAAF Base in Katherine. Designing and documenting defence infrastructure is one of our strengths as we integrate our architectural, interior and landscape services to design spaces meeting the defence standards for offices, aircraft facilities and amenities and on base personnel accommodation. We worked with integrated Engineering and specialist teams to ensure the projects were coordinated, delivered at the required milestone dates and exceeded the defence durability, cost and construction standards for their infrastructure.
Bennett Architecture brought our expertise to the project, but also applied our quality assurance processes to ensure communications with co consultants and clients were effective and timely, clash detections were done regularly, and costs were considered and value managed throughout the process. Our diligence was rewarded by the client as we were further engaged to assist with the construction and compliance phases of the works. To date most facilities have been constructed with little amendment and include identified expansion of certain elements should the future need arise.
